Bio

Nick started at the CLC in Fall 2014, where he helps language teachers with the effective use of multimedia and instructional technologies for language teaching. He also coordinates CourseShare courses and professional development workshops and assists with the LPII, Mellon: Transforming Language Instruction, and language assessment projects. He became interested in language teaching and learning while teaching English in China and then went on to receive an MA in Applied Linguistics from Ohio University. His research has been published in Computer Assisted Language Learning and the CALICO Journal, and he is co-author of Teaching Languages in Blended Synchronous Learning Classrooms: A Practical Guide. He has studied French, Italian, Spanish, and Arabic, but only has limited functional ability in Mandarin. When not in Cobb Hall he enjoys playing guitar, playing or watching sports, and being outdoors as much as possible.
