Vanessa joined the CLC as Administrator in Spring 2023. While new to the full-time CLC family, she was no stranger, having taught with the CLC’s English Language Institute from 2019 to 2022. In her current role, she provides administrative support for the CLC and its initiatives, which includes workshop and event planning, budget coordinating, LPII payments, graphic design services, among many other things. She also coordinates the Global Honors program. Vanessa comes from a decade-long career in ESL and Writing & Rhetoric across the US, France, and Japan. She has studied French and Japanese and holds an MA in TESOL & Applied Linguistics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. In her free time, she enjoys baking with family, growing vegetables and herbs, and reading historical fiction mystery novels with sharp-witted female protagonists.
