Project Support

The Chicago Language Center can help you with your language-related project!

Planning Support: CLC staff are available to provide advice and assistance at all stages in developing your project, from writing grant proposals to complying with human-subject research protocols and copyright laws.

Technical Assistance: At the CLC, we can also provide you with technical assistance, training for audiovisual and computer equipment, and suggest links to useful resources within and outside the University of Chicago.

Grant Opportunities: The CLC offers language instructors a number of ways to finance new and continuing language-related projects:

  1. Through membership with the Consortium for Language Teaching and Learning, the University of Chicago is able to provide annual funding for projects promoting language teaching and learning.
  2. The CLC has matching funds to purchase supplementary or extracurricular materials for students use.
  3. The CLC has limited funding available for special projects, meetings, lectures, and other events and activities.
